Australia has no shortage of inventors, researchers, and entrepreneurs with ideas worth sharing with the world. What it often lacks is the infrastructure to connect those people, amplify their work, and take them to international stages where it matters. Innovate Australia exists to fill that gap — fostering Australian innovation and giving local inventors a pathway to global recognition.
A mission this important needed a website that could carry its weight.
The Problem
Innovate Australia operates at the intersection of government, academia, industry, and international exhibition. They sponsor innovators, run events, connect with global bodies, and represent Australia on the world stage — including at international invention exhibitions in Geneva. But their digital presence wasn’t communicating that ambition clearly enough to the people they needed to reach: innovators looking for support, sponsors looking for credibility, and partners looking for a serious organisation to work with.
What I Built
I built an institutional website that positions Innovate Australia as the serious, credible organisation it is. The site covers the organisation’s mission and activities, its board of directors, and its events — giving visitors a complete picture of what Innovate Australia does and who is behind it.
The events section is a key part of the site, showcasing the organisation’s activities and connecting innovators with upcoming opportunities. The overall design and structure were built to communicate trust and legitimacy — because when you’re representing Australia on an international stage, first impressions matter.
The Result
A professional digital presence that matches the scale of what Innovate Australia does — from local innovation programs through to the Road to Geneva finals. A website that sponsors, partners, and innovators can land on and immediately understand why this organisation is worth engaging with.
